The Emerson A-WZ 5690-11 (PCN 066671) is a high-efficiency, hermetically sealed oil separator designed primarily for multiple compressor racks in supermarket refrigeration and large-scale air conditioning systems. Its critical function is to intercept high-temperature, high-pressure discharge gas leaving the compressor, separate the entrained lubricating oil, and safely return it to the compressor crankcase to maintain optimal lubrication and system efficiency. This specific model features a heavy-duty welded steel construction with a durable, corrosion-resistant epoxy powder paint finish, and it utilizes 1-3/8" ODF solder connections for secure, leak-free piping. Engineered to handle high-demand applications, it boasts a maximum working pressure of 600 PSIG (41 bar) and comes pre-charged with a specific volume of oil to prevent compressor starvation upon startup. It provides excellent performance and is fully compatible with HCFC and HFC refrigerants—including R22, R134a, R404A, R407C, and R410A—as well as their associated POE, PAG, and mineral oil lubricants.
